The Tentacle Sync software could read the LTC just fine. Though the particular bug was solved in 12.5, I needed to get timecode into a lot of files via LTC in 12.3.

So, I actually had developed a workaround for when Resolve 12.3 wasn't recognizing LTC inside of an MXF OP1a container. Of course if you have faster/better procedure let me know! you will become crazy of course.Īnyway I will contact BM to ask them if they could take this initial blanking into account. Then you can use mp4.tool to mux mkv video and m4a audio to mp4.įinally import in Resolve and. So import the audio tracks in an audio prog and convert them to AAC. So use mp4.tool to convert the mkv to mp4.Įasy eh? Noo, this GH5 audio tracks is no standard for mp4 because they have PCM audio tracks. Then you have a mkv that Resolve does not load.

Using Avidemux 2.7 load the GH5 mov, use copy mode, cut after 0.5s at least on a I-frame and save to MKV (important, because saving mp4 does not work! and sadly it has no mov out). I removed this blank space at the beginning, remux the tracks and it works! I found out GH5 starts recording the audio AFTER 0.3s, not immediately. I made also a recording of subout to F4 track3 to see the subout levels and also this is perfectly flat. So this is quite strange, maybe GH5 does not use external mic levels well.Īnyway F4 tr4 is perfectly flat. But I have no AGC active in this chain: in the F4 I have manual knobs to control the levels and I set them once, in the GH5 I set AGC off and level inputs to -12dB (on the F4 subout set it with Mic levels out).

As I said I put TC out into a line in input of my F4 and then with subout to the GH5.
